Pediatric Otolaryngology
Our Pediatric Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery program is led by fellowship-trained physicians, who work together with families and primary care physicians in order to develop treatment plans that are tailored to match each child’s individual needs.
We combine multispecialty, child-focused resources for detailed diagnostic analysis and directed management, with a wide array of both medical and surgical options to help everything from ear and sinus infections to airway obstructions to head and neck tumors.
This program is led by
Dr. Judy Chen.

What is a Pediatric Otolaryngologist?
A pediatric otolaryngologist is a medical doctor specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of ear, neck and throat conditions and disorders for children. In addition to providing specialty within this area of the body, their training in the pediatric population specifically makes them invaluable to parents and children as both a medical doctor and an educator.
Pediatric otolaryngologists provide complex medical treatment, which may at times include surgery. When surgery is necessary, pediatric otolaryngologists also provide pre- and post-surgical care and education.
Who Should See a Pediatric Otolaryngologist?
Pediatric otolaryngologists treat children from birth to adulthood when they have developed illnesses or conditions affecting their ears, nose and/or throat. Oftentimes, your primary care doctor is a great place to start. They can evaluate your child and determine whether a referral to a pediatric ENT is needed.
