Otology/Neuro-otology

Our fellowship-trained neuro-otologist, subspecialized physician-assistant and audiology subspecialists work in close collaboration. Patients receive a hearing evaluation as well as a physical exam, including an ear microscopy, in the same appointment and in the same office.

What Does a Neuro-otologist Do?

Neuro-otologists are board-certified sub-specialists focusing on the medical and surgical care of conditions related to the ears, balance system and surrounding area. This training includes diagnosing and treating infections and neurological conditions affecting these areas.  

What Types of Conditions are Treated by a Neuro-otologist?

What Does a Neuro-otologist Appointment Look Like?

Neurp-otologists collaborate with other specialists to provide a hearing evaluation and full physical exam, including an ear microscopy to patients experiencing symptoms associated with conditions of the inner ear. 

Due to interdepartmental collaboration, patients are able to receive this full examination within a single appointment at our office, without needing to return at a later time.
