Lab Work, X-Rays and EKGs
For lab work (i.e. blood and urine tests), X-rays or an EKG, bring your doctor’s order to the patient testing area on the first floor of the Galter Medical Pavilion. No appointment is necessary for x-rays, EKGs or general lab work. An appointment is needed for the helicobacter pylori breath test or further diagnostic tests (see below).

Hours are subject to change. All patients needing lab work must go to Galter Medical Pavilion. X-ray is still available in Foster Medical Pavilion.
Please call 773-878-8200 prior to traveling to the hospital for a laboratory test or x-ray.

3-D Mammography and Breast Ultrasound Screening
Our Mayora Rosenberg Women's Health Center provides access to high-end preventive and diagnostic resources. From night and weekend appointments to private, women-only patient areas, the center was designed to care for and empower women.
Services offered include:
- 3-D mammography, enabling our radiologists to better examine dense breasts to reduce the number of unwarranted call backs.
- 3-D automated breast ultrasound screening (ABUS) technology, to use with 3-D mammography to better diagnose women with dense breasts.
- Bone density screenings, using DXA bone density scanning, an enhanced form of x-ray technology that measures bone loss in patients to help diagnose osteoporosis.
