Respiratory Testing

Pulmonary tests are conducted in our state-of-the-art Heart and Lung Center. 

Utilizing the Body Box—the gold standard for measuring total lung volume, airway resistance and thoracic gas volume—the pulmonary function exam will provide your physician with detailed information which will help build a care plan specifically for you.   

Pulmonary Treatment

The board-certified pulmonologists at Swedish Hospital individually design each unique care plan according to American Thoracic Standards to meet your specific needs. After gauging your fitness level and determining the intricacies of your condition, we assist you in making the appropriate lifestyle changes, including coaching/training on how to properly use inhalers 

Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Swedish Hospital's outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation program combines monitored exercise, education and breathing retraining into a comprehensive program centered at Galter LifeCenter, Chicago's only certified medical fitness center.
