This 8-week support group will be a place for participants to learn together, practice, and grow in the life-changing skill of self-compassion. Research studies show that self-compassion improves mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. By joining this group, you are taking a step towards improved wellbeing.
Facilitator: Emily Ledesma, LCSW, Community Health Social Worker
- It is encouraged for participants to attend all eight sessions, but attendance to all eight sessions is not obligatory. By signing up, you are enrolled for all eight sessions.
- Participants will read the book Self-Compassion by Dr. Kristin Neff and copies will be provided.
- Refreshments will be served.
- Participants will receive a token of appreciation for their time.
- Bus passes and parking vouchers available.
This support group runs for 8-weeks, Thursdays, Sept. 12 through Thursday, Oct. 31.
