Men's Prostate Screening
Dr. Thomas Schumacher, a family medicine physician with Swedish Covenant Medical Group, and
Dr. Gary Schreiber, a radiation oncologist at Swedish Covenant Hospital, will conduct prostate cancer screenings, including a digital rectal examination (DRE) and free PSA blood test—a $249 value! PSA test results will be mailed. Reservations required.
The American Cancer Society recommends that annual prostate cancer screenings begin at age 50. Those in high-risk groups, such as African-American men or men with a close family history of prostate cancer, should begin screenings at age 45.
