Heart Disease Screening
Know your risk! There are several tests that can help identify your risk factors for heart disease. Heart disease screenings offered by Swedish Hospital take place in the Heart and Lung Center.
How Long is the Screening and What Does it Include?
The screening takes approximately 15 minutes and includes:
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Blood pressure measurement
- Electrocardiogram (EKG)
- Diabetes screening
- Cholesterol screening
What Should I Wear for the Screening?
Please wear a loose-fitting shirt for the EKG test. Diabetes and cholesterol screenings require a blood test; do not eat or drink for 12 hours prior to your appointment (water is OK).
What is the Cost?
The cost for this screening is $50 (a $120 value).
