Endometriosis is a gynecological condition which affects approximately 2 to 4 percent of women around the world. It occurs when the tissue that normally lines a woman’s uterus grows on other organs or parts of the body. This can cause symptoms that include pain, fatigue, digestive problems and bleeding.
Though women have very different symptoms with endometriosis, the condition can often lead to feelings of loneliness and isolation. This support group is a place to share experiences with other women who understand what you are going through.
This group meets on the first Thursday of each month from 7 to 8 p.m. For more information, please contact Diana Dimas at 773-878-9936, ext. 5804 or Heather Baker at 773-878-8200, ext. 6739.
