Interpretive Services
Our on-site Spanish medical interpreter is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help patients and their families communicate with members of the health care team.
Additional interpretive services, including sign language and telephone translation of over 150 languages, are available upon request, free of charge. View top languages available>>

Services for the Hearing Impaired
Resources offered for hearing impaired patients at Swedish Hospital include:
- Communication boards (located on all medical units)
- Sign language interpreters via the language line on our iPad’s (iPad’s located on all medical units)
- Pockets talkers (offered on the units)
- Masks with clear shields over the mouth (ordered from Equipment Services)
- TDD phone (Operator)
