Constantine Kanakis, MSc, MLS(ASCP), a Medical Laboratory Scientist in Swedish Covenant Hospital's
Laboratory and Pathology Department, was recently awarded the 2015
American Society of Clinical Pathology's Midwest Regional Member Award. The award recognizes laboratory professionals who promote and enhance the field of laboratory medicine through their contributions at the local level.
“I’m honored to receive the Midwest Regional Members Award,” said Constantine, who was nominated for the award by a coworker and fellow ASCP member. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to represent my field on a local level at Swedish Covenant Hospital, and on a national level as a laboratory professional.”
Constantine has worked at Swedish Covenant Hospital for four years, where he is part of the laboratory team that helped SCH meet
College of American Pathologists Quality Standards. He accepted the award at ASCP’s recent National Meeting.
