We recently installed a new sculpture in the Healing Garden of Swedish Covenant Hospital. Mounted on the south-facing wall of the Galter Rehabilitation Center, Balancing Act is a wind-powered kinetic sculpture designed to spin in a random manner and create great shadow play on the wall behind it. At 20 feet in diameter, the sculpture is visible not only from the garden, but also from the area that surrounds it, allowing all visitors of Swedish Covenant Hospital to enjoy its therapeutic effects.
Balancing Art was created by Evan Lewis, a prolific Chicago artist and member of Galter LifeCenter.
