Jack Rosenberg, a great friend of Swedish Covenant Hospital, was one of 86 World War II veterans selected to participate in the Honor Flight Chicago trip to Washington, D.C. on September 30th. While there, the veterans visited the WWII Memorial, which was made open to the public in 2004, and the iconic Marine Corps War Memorial, also known as the Iwo Jima Memorial. “It was an honor to go,” Jack said. “To turn the pages back to World War II.”

Jack is a tireless advocate for Swedish Covenant Hospital. He was honorary chairman of the Women’s Health Initiative Campaign, where Swedish Covenant Hospital’s Mayora Rosenberg Women’s Health Center was named in honor of his late wife. His kind, limitless devotion to Swedish Covenant Hospital and the neighborhood it serves only further illustrates his heart for others. Congratulations Jack!

Honor Flight Chicago is a non-profit organization that sends veterans to our nation’s capital to honor and remember their sacrifice. Jack was accompanied on the flight by his son, David Rosenberg.
