The office staff in Northbrook were quite pleasant, and Dr. Alvi's assistant [...] was in the highest percentile of professionalism, compassion, and obvious intelligence. So imagine my surprise to find Dr. Sameer Alvi pompous, openly bigoted, willfully illogical, and as condescending as any human being that I can recall having met. His tirade was unprovoked, beginning immediately upon his entrance to the examining room for the very first time. We had never met, nor spoken. Obviously, he never examined me, but rather made it clear upon first sight that he would never operate on, in his words, "a guy like you."
