Integrative Therapies

At Swedish Hospital, we treat the whole person through body, mind and spirit. We understand that treatment doesn't stop when you leave your doctor's office and that complementary and alternative therapies can work in connection with traditional medical practices.

Swedish Hospital offers acupuncture, clinical massage therapy, Fundamental Fitness classes, meditation and personal training through Galter LifeCenter, Chicago's only certified medical fitness center.

Acupuncture

Experience the effects of acupuncture as it balances and heals your mind, body and spirit. This system of health care has been around for over 2,000 years, and has proven to be safe, effective and reliable.

In addition to treating muscular aches and pains, acupuncture can remedy acute or chronic ailments, relieve pain, enhance recuperative powers and strengthen the immune system. Whether it's back pain, arthritis, knee or shoulder pain, tendonitis, headaches, gynecological disorders or stress, acupuncture can help.

Galter LifeCenter is also pleased to offer YNSA, which is a new Japanese scalp acupuncture technique that is highly effective in treating musculoskeletal and neurological disorders.
