Daniel T. Laich, D.O.
, is a neurological surgeon and the Chief of Neurological Surgery with nearly twenty-five years of experience. He specializes in non-surgical, minimally invasive surgical (MIS), endoscopic and major reconstructive spine treatments. His pioneering work has helped gain approval for MIS techniques in the United States. He has ongoing interest in motion preservation technologies, including artificial disk replacement and posterior motion preserving instrumentation, and regenerative technologies. Dr. Laich continues to expand his national and international academic, instructional and surgical efforts with interest in closed head injury, nutrition and alternative therapies.
Andrew Johnson, M.D.
, is a neurological surgeon with extensive experience in the treatment of vascular diseases, including stroke. He completed his neurosurgical training and endovascular fellowship at Rush Medical Center. He is trained in endoscopic intracranial surgery, tumor surgery, spinal surgery and movement disorder treatments for conditions such as seizure and Parkinson’s.
Danny Park, M.D.
, is a neurologist treating a broad spectrum of neurological
diseases with special interest in closed head injuries, electrophysiology, headaches, stroke, movement disorders and multiple sclerosis. In addition, he has clinical interest in the role of functional medicine in treating neurological patients.
Myron Glassenberg, M.D.
, is a neurologist with clinical interest in Alzheimer’s disease, dizziness, electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography, epilepsy, headaches, neuropathy, Parkinson’s disease and stroke. He has over 40 years of experience.
Vanda Esme, APN
, is a graduate of Rush University College of Nursing and a former employee at Rush University Medical Center’s Hematology & Oncology Center and the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch. She continues to provide her expertise in neurological conditions to the patients at the Chicago Brain & Spine Institute.
Carol Talisse, MMS, PA-C
, is a graduate of Midwestern University with nearly ten years of experience in neurosurgery and the management of operative staff. She has been awarded Swedish Covenant Hospital’s coveted STAR Award for exemplary patient care and has prior experience at Rush Copley Medical Center in the southwest suburbs.
Sara Rummelhoff, APN
, joins the Chicago Brain & Spine Institute after serving as valve nurse coordinator in cardiovascular services at Swedish Covenant Hospital. A graduate of North Park University, she contributes significant clinical experience in cardiology and overall medical management.
Colleen Harrison, PA-C
, is a graduate of Midwestern University with almost ten years of experience. Her primary clinical interest in stroke is a result of academic interests and many years of practice in the northwest suburbs at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Alongside Drs. Glassenberg and Park, she provides excellent neurology patient care with compassion and expertise.
