Dave Relearns to Walk With State-of-the-Art Ekso Robot

Dave came to Swedish Hospital after having a stroke in the balance center of his brain. Therapists used the Ekso GT robotic exoskeleton with Dave to assist in balance retraining, weight shifting and eventually walking. It allows people to take more steps in a shorter period of time, increasing repetition, which is important for neuroplasticity after a stroke. The plan was to get him stronger, improve his balance and return him home. Through the assistance of the robot, Dave returned home able to walk with a device without any other physical assistance.
