Nursing Home Named Top Performing

U.S. News & World Report recently named Swedish Covenant Health’s Extended Care Facility on its list of Top Performing Nursing Homes. The facility is one of only 19 in Chicago to make the prestigious list which can be seen at Best Nursing Homes ranking. And SCH was one of only six Chicago facilities rated high performing in both overall and short-stay rehabilitation ratings.

The facility was rated “5 Stars” overall (out of 5). The Top Performing ranking is based on ratings in key areas, including health inspections, nurse staffing and measures of medical quality of care. Of the 719 Illinois facilities evaluated, SCH’s was one of only 160 to earn the Top Performing 5 Star rating.

“We are honored to again receive this recognition,” said Anthony Guaccio, President and CEO of Swedish Covenant Health. “It’s a testament to our entire team which works very hard to serve residents. I want to congratulate our ECF staff for their continued excellent work that benefits our community.”

“I am extremely proud to work with a dedicated team of nurses, assistants and therapists,” said Sarah Stadler, MSN, RN. “It is very rewarding to see residents make such significant gains during their short-stay with us and be able to move forward following their rehabilitation. We are dedicated to helping residents become strong and capable before transitioning to their next level of care.”
