If you've ever traveled to another country, you know it can be very difficult to communicate with someone whose native language isn't your own.
Due to the wide diversity in cultural backgrounds of our staff, we now offer Enhanced Interpersonal Communications Classes free of charge to all employees. These classes aim to make communication between you and your caregivers as understandable as possible, through techniques for vocal clarity and pronunciation.
In addition, we have four interpreters who work daily to provide you medical interpretive services. Our Korean, Russian and Spanish interpreters are available Monday through Friday from 7:30am – 4:00pm.
We also have sign language and over-the-telephone translation of over 150 languages for you to use at any time. You may request this free service at any time by asking your care provider or calling (773) 878-8200, ext. 1700.
