We understand that every stage of a woman’s life brings with it a unique set of health concerns, questions, challenges and rewards. Our women’s health experts at Swedish Covenant Hospital are prepared to address those concerns and questions, help you overcome the challenges—and celebrate the rewards with you.

We provide personalized, compassionate treatment for women of all ages. From our experienced women’s health providers to our continual investment in new technologies, such as advanced 3-D mammograms, we take pride in our ability to address the health needs of women from adolescence through the childbearing years, to menopause and beyond. Additionally, our new Mayora Rosenberg Women’s Health Center, opening this fall, will provide women-centric services in a unique, personalized health care environment.

Expected to open in late 2014, The Mayora Rosenberg Women’s Health Center at Swedish Covenant Hospital will provide women on Chicago’s north and northwest sides with access to a unique health care experience in a comfortable, inviting environment.

The Center will feature state-of-the-art equipment and friendly, knowledgeable staff who will guide women through all aspects of their health care.

The Women’s Health Center is part of the Swedish Covenant Hospital Women’s Health Initiative, an ambitious effort designed to ensure that every woman in our community has access to high-quality preventive care, health information and resources close to home.

The Breast Health Program at Swedish Covenant Hospital is a comprehensive wellness program which assists women on both the emotional and physical journeys that accompany breast cancer screenings and diagnoses.

The Breast Health Program:
•  Encourages women to complete recommended breast cancer screenings
•  Provides information to the community about breast health and the importance of early cancer detection
•  Addresses women’s concerns and provides compassionate, personalized care if they have an abnormal mammogram
•  Provides healing services such as nutrition, massage therapy, exercise and yoga
•  Helps reduce the time from screening to diagnosis with the use of advance technologies, such as 3-D mammography. This sophisticated technology takes multiple, sweeping images of a woman’s breast, making it easier to see abnormalities, and providing faster, more reliable diagnoses.

To learn more about the Breast Health Program at Swedish Covenant Hospital, please contact Michelle Peters, R.N., B.A., at 773-989-3999 or mpeters@SwedishCovenant.org.

To schedule your mammogram, call 773-878-6888. If your primary care physician is not affiliated with Swedish Covenant Hospital, you can still schedule your mammogram with us; your results will be faxed to your physician.

Early elective delivery

One of the best things pregnant women can do for their own health and the health of their child is to wait until labor occurs naturally at full term.
