Swedish Covenant Medical Group Pediatrics is the home of two board-certified and highly skilled pediatricians. Their goal is to provide excellent health care and support to your family.
Dr. Andy Sagan: earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois and completed pediatric training at the University of Minnesota. He has been practicing general pediatrics since 1994, most recently as medical director at Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group in Chicago. Dr. Sagan emphasizes parenting skills, focuses on child behavior and is thorough and practical in his approach to care giving. His style is decidedly direct, and he encourages resourceful and sensible behavior in the parents of his patients. Dr. Sagan is a big Bears fan, loves to cook and is a reptile hobbyist.
Dr. Nisha Vijay: earned her medical degree from the prestigious Madras Medical College in India in 1998. While in India, Dr. Vijay organized a number of programs bringing vaccination and medical care to children in poverty. Prior to completing pediatric training at the University of Illinois, Dr. Vijay was involved in pediatric-related research at Johns Hopkins and Georgetown University hospitals. Dr. Vijay focuses on child development, her approach is sensitive and compassionate, her style enthusiastic, and she encourages parents to be thoughtful and educated about all matters involving their children. Dr. Vijay is a vegetarian, lover of dogs and animals in general.
