Mental Health Services

Swedish Covenant Hospital provides comprehensive Psychological and Psychiatric Services in Chicago.

We are experts in assessing your mental health needs and providing individualized treatments. We offer inpatient care, crisis intervention and psychopharmacology for all age groups.

What’s the difference between Psychological and Psychiatric Services? Psychological Services is a clinical psychologist who provides counseling or talk therapy for a variety of conditions including depression and anxiety. Psychiatric Services is a physician who prescribes and manages medications.
Clinical psychology focuses on alleviating mental health issues that occur from a combination of factors including: intellectual, emotional, biological, social, psychological and behavioral aspects.

The clinical psychologists on staff are experts in assessing, conducting psychological and neuropsychological testing and treating mental health problems. We work with you and your medical providers to ensure continuity of care and excellent quality services.

During your initial appointment, you will meet with one of the clinical psychologists on staff in a private confidential setting and will work together to tailor a treatment plan specifically for you that will address your needs and concerns. We are culturally diverse and have experience in addressing a number of concerns related to your emotional and physical health.
