Emergency Department

Any time of day or night, the board-certified emergency medical specialists on staff at Swedish Covenant Hospital care for patients with major medical emergencies.

We have made several improvements to The Yelda Family Emergency Department to better serve you on your emergency room visit.

  • Children with special urgent care needs are sent through our "Pediatric Fast Track" program and can be seen by one of the pediatric emergency specialists affiliated with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago on the medical staff at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago.
  • If you suffer from a non-life-threatening emergency you can utilize our InQuicker service and reserve a place in line so you wait in the comfort of your home.
