Pool Therapy
Depending on your specific conditions, pool therapy may be a helpful way to regain strength and flexibility.
Pool Therapy
For some patients, the rehabilitation plan will involve pool therapy in a dedicated warm-water therapy pool. This procedure uses the therapeutic properties of water to help you regain function, which has been lost due to a specific disease or injury.
Team members
No matter what rehabilitation plan is selected for you, our team members will be there for you during the entire process. Our goal is to help you feel your best — from start to finish.
Exercise techniques
During therapy, you will learn safe and beneficial exercise techniques, which enable you to use your body properly. Over time and through hard work, your pain is minimized and strength and mobility are gained, thereby preventing injury.
Physicians and therapists
Our skilled, compassionate physicians and therapists will guide you through the appropriate program and let you actively participate in defining your own set of goals.
Education
Many exercises are designed to test your balance and re-educate you about proper body mechanics and injury prevention.
Trusting relationships
It is important for you to feel comfortable with your therapist and develop a trusting relationship with him or her throughout your rehabilitation experience. Our staff members try to make therapy as fun as possible to keep you energized and positive throughout your healing.
Exercise
The Rehabilitation area is connected to the Galter LifeCenter and features several different opportunities for supervised exercise on fitness equipment for strength, endurance, flexibility and improving your health.
Setting Goals
For instance, for a hand or wrist injury, our staff would use equipment to take measurements of your grip strength, with the goal to help you regain the optimal levels of strength you had prior to injury, over the course of your physical therapy.
Individualized treatment
The physical therapy team is specially trained to understand the interaction of all the body parts. Through an individualized treatment plan, they will work with you to get you moving again — back to the things you enjoy.
Assessment
Therapy begins with a thorough evaluation and assessment to determine the best course of treatment for you. Each treatment plan is customized to your own unique needs and situation.
Waiting Area
Often after surgery or hospitalization, you may need additional care. Our Rehabilitation services are geared to help you regain your daily living skills and get back to functioning independently. Rehabilitation services can also help you cope with long-term conditions, such as arthritis, or neurological conditions such as stroke, head injury and multiple sclerosis.
