Once you feel well enough, we will transfer you to your hospital room or to the exit of the hospital, so you can go home as soon as possible and continue healing.
Visitation
A nurse from your team will then inform your family that they can now visit you. Your nurse will review any healing instructions with your family, in case special care is needed.

Recovery
Once your procedure is complete, we will carefully move you from the Operating Room to a Recovery Area. You may still be under sedation at this point, so you may not remember this step of the process.

We will sit down with you and discuss your procedure thoroughly, answering any questions you might have. Depending on your care, we may insert an intravenous catheter (IV) in which your medications will be administered.

Here in the Pre-Operative Area, we will help you prepare for your procedure. Your care will be tailored to your specific needs.

When ready, a Surgical Services nurse will take you back to the Pre-Operative Area. Your family members or friends can accompany you if you wish.
