Advanced Practice Provider Students
Thank you for your interest in Swedish Hospital!
Each semester Advanced Practice Provider (APP) students rotate through the hospital and its affiliated primary care centers with APPs and physicians. Swedish Hospital takes pride in its teaching. We feel that it is important to foster an environment of education within our facility and for our students.
School Affiliations
Swedish Hospital is a core training site for North Park University Nurse Practitioner Students and Midwestern University Chicago College of Physician Assistants.
Interested in doing a clinical semester rotation at Swedish Hospital?
We encourage you to apply for clinical preceptorship/rotation as early as possible. There are limited spaces available biannually.
Requirements
- Affiliation agreement between Swedish Hospital and the school
- Availability and willingness to be placed on evenings, weekends and night shifts
- Copy of up-to-date immunizations, including annual flu shot for rotations after October 1
- Documentation of malpractice/liability insurance in the required amounts of $1 million per occurrence/$3 million aggregate
- HIPAA agreement
