It doesn’t hurt to have occasional high blood sugar levels, right? Wrong. Elizabeth Foley, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator, and Debbie Davis, a registered nurse and certified diabetes educator, both from Swedish Covenant Hospital’s Diabetes Community Center, will break down many common misconceptions about diabetes while you enjoy a nutritious lunch.

Join us for dinner and listen as experts candidly discuss common health, weight and cosmetic concerns for women. Speakers include Dr. Kavita Singh, a gastroenterologist, Dr. Shameem Abbasy, a urogynecologist (both of Swedish Covenant Hospital), and Dr. Julia Rahn, a psychologist from Flourish Studios. Submit your taboo questions anonymously at the door.

Did you know that consuming local honey can help to prevent seasonal allergies? Join Dr. Tony Vancauwelaert, a beekeeper and family medicine physician at Swedish Covenant Hospital, for a conversation about the beehives stationed on our rooftop, the benefits of bees in our ecosystem and how you can help keep them thriving. Just before dusk, when the bees are reaching slumber, we will travel to the roof to see the beehives. Everyone will enjoy a honey tasting from Whole Foods Market Sauganash and leave with a jar of local honey!

Family & Friends is a Certified CPR Course for those who want to know CPR because of personal interest, for a family member, a new baby on the way or just because you always wanted to take a course.  **this class is not for healthcare/child care workers that require a certificate**

A registered dietitian from Galter LifeCenter will share the nutritional benefits for your baby and provide tips on feeding schedules. Learn now while the bun is still in the oven!
