About What is your approach to pediatric care?
“As a pediatrician, I am very fortunate to work with children and families on a daily basis. Not only do I assess a child's current health needs, but I also provide guidance for a health future—in other words, it’s not just about today, it’s about tomorrow. As children and their families grow, I also grow and learn with them every day. This is such a unique gift. In the Swedish Covenant Medical Group, we have a great group of providers who care and strive to serve their patients by providing evidence-based medicine and working with families to achieve the best outcomes.” What do you say to new parents most often?
“First of all—congratulations! Being a new parent is a hard task with great rewards. Most of new parents’ tension revolves around breastfeeding. I usually tell them to relax and do their best, and let me worry about the baby’s nutrition.” Why did you choose to become a pediatrician?
“Children provide such a unique outlook on life. They keep us young. They are innocent and deserve the best medical treatment available in times of need. You can develop a relationship with your patients that is amazing—I really enjoy taking care of them.”
