Thank you for your interest in becoming a Swedish Covenant Hospital Volunteer!
Upholding the mission and values of Swedish Covenant Hospital is a core element of volunteer resources. As a volunteer you will be responsible for ensuring that our patients feel safe and welcome while they are here. To guarantee our patients the best of care all volunteer applicants must:
- Be at least 15 years of age
- Be in good mental, physical and emotional health
- Prospective volunteer 15 to 17 years old must have 2 recommendation forms completed by teachers, counselors, or non related adults
- Prospective volunteer 18 years old or older must pass a criminal background check
- Review volunteer handbook and submit application and required paperwork
- Complete a personal interview
- Attend orientation and on-the-job training
- Complete health screening (tests include TB, Rubella and Rubeola)
- Commit to a minimum of 72 service hours (4 hours a week for 18 weeks during the school year, or 8 hours a week for 9 consecutive weeks during the summer)
