Osteopathic Internal Medicine Residency
As Director of Internal Medicine at Swedish Covenant Hospital I am very pleased with your interest in our program. The residency is AOA accredited, and being a DO myself I am very excited to help foster the growth and development of great Osteopathic physicians. We have made some exciting new changes throughout the last few years that have enabled the internship to grow and cover a greater depth of medical knowledge and cases. These changes have helped to expose the interns to everything the hospital has to offer. The patient population is diverse and allows the interns and residents to experience more medicine and learn a variety of treatments. The residents along with the help of teaching attendings and staff work to give quality patient care every day. I am honored to be a part of the teaching residencies at Swedish Covenant Hospital as a director and as a teaching faculty. Please look over the site and get to know the program.

Internal Medicine Residents spend one half day a week in the center. In year one, residents inherit a panel of patients from a graduating senior and gain new patients from Emergency Room follow-ups. The resident gets the opportunity to follow-up with patients who were admitted to the hospital with the P3 Teaching Service. Added this year is a new rotation of Primary Care Training in which a third year senior resident sees walk-in patients and also takes care of any assigned patients of internal medicine residents who are admitted to the hospital.
