Testimonials From Our Nurses

In 2006, we began our Journey to Magnet Excellence.

This Magnet Journey is a program of development sponsored by the American Nurses Association, which gives nursing departments a framework to promote quality healthcare services, support professional nursing practices, identify excellence in the delivery of nursing services and provide a mechanism for the dissemination of "best practices" in nursing care.

The overall goal of the Magnet Journey is to use this time to improve quality, outcomes, professional pride and development and maintain these standards long afterward.

At Swedish Covenant Hospital, our Journey to Magnet Excellence means honoring the caring work of our nurses. It means identifying and encouraging nurses to be leaders by providing the education and opportunities to do so. Finally, it means listening and collaborating with the people most closely involved in your care to give you the best experience possible.

To show support for our nurses, we'd like to highlight some of the achievements and personal experiences, in the form of Q&A testimonials written directly by nurses from several different departments across the hopsital. We hope these testimonials will help you learn more about what it's like to be a nurse at Swedish Covenant Hospital. Their stories are below:
