The Medical Staff at Swedish Covenant Hospital elected the following officers in 2013:
PRESIDENT
Dr. Surucci received his doctor of medicine from the University of Bucharest Medical School in Romania, and he completed his internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Surucci has been in practice for 17 years, and his clinical interests include cardiovascular health, preventive medicine, cholesterol management, diabetes and smoking cessation. Dr. Surucci speaks English, French, Italian and Romanian.
VICE PRESIDENT
Dr. Abdulmassih received his doctor of medicine from Damascus University in Syria. A board certified family medicine specialist, Dr. Abdulmassih completed his residency here at Swedish Covenant Hospital. He has been in practice for 33 years, and he speaks English, Assyrian and Arabic.
SECRETARY/TREASURER
Dr. Saporta received his doctor of medicine from the Chicago Medical School, and he completed his residency and internship at Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, Illinois. He specializes in gastroenterology, and he has been in practice for 32 years. Dr. Saporta speaks English, French and Spanish.
